Sulawesi Tenggara Province economy in quarter II-2018 grew 6.09 percent (y-on-y)

Abstract

  • The economy of Southeast Sulawesi in the second quarter of 2018 as measured by the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GDP) at current prices reached Rp. 29.24 trillion and on the basis of constant 2010 prices reached Rp. 21.91 trillion.
  • Southeast Sulawesi's economy in the second quarter of 2018 grew 6.09 percent (y-on-y) slowed compared to the second quarter of 2017 of 6.87 percent. In terms of production, the highest growth was achieved by the Construction Business Field by 9.42 percent. In terms of expenditure, it was achieved by the Export Component of Goods and Services which grew by 87.87 percent.
  • Southeast Sulawesi's economy in the second quarter of 2018 grew by 7.18 percent higher than the previous quarter of minus 6.42 percent (q-to-q). In terms of production, this is due to the increase in construction activities by 14.47 percent. While from the expenditure side, it was caused by the growth of the Government Consumption Component (PK-P) of 24.75 percent.
  • In terms of production, the fields of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries have made the most dominant contribution to Southeast Sulawesi's GRDP, at 23.99 percent. Whereas in terms of expenditure, the most dominant contribution occurred in the components of Household Consumption Expenditures (PK-RT)
  •     49.50 percent.
