Southeast Sulawesi Economy Quarter 1-2018 Grows 5.76 Percent

Abstract

• Southeast Sulawesi's economy in Q1 / 2018 measured by Gross Regional Domestic Product (PDRB) at current prices reached Rp 26.97 trillion and at constant 2010 prices of Rp 20.43 trillion.
• Southeast Sulawesi's economy grew 5.76 percent (y-on-y) in Q1 / 2018 from 7.75 percent in Q1 / 2017. In terms of production, the highest growth was achieved by the Information and Communication Business Field at 9.51 percent. From the expenditure side, achieved by the Export Components of Goods and Services which grew by 105.59 percent.
• Southeast Sulawesi's economy grew by minus 6.49 percent in Q1 / 2018 from 2.89 percent (q-to-q) in the previous quarter.
• In terms of production, Agriculture, Forestry and Fishery business fields make the most dominant contribution to Southeast Sulawesi GDP, amounting to 24.75 percent. In terms of expenditure, the most dominant contribution occurred in the component of Household Consumption Expenditure (PK-RT) of 51.13 percent.
