Abstract

  • The Southeast Sulawesi NTP index in July 2018 was 94.80 or decreased by 1.05 percent compared to the previous month which was recorded at 95.81. The NTP index of each sub-sector was recorded as follows: Food Crops Sub-sector (NTPP) 85.20; Horticulture Subsector (NTPH) 92.79; Subsector of Smallholder Plantation (NTPR) 89,87; Livestock Subsector (NTPT) 106.24; and Fisheries Sub-sector (NTNP) 116.14. While the National NTP Index of 101.66 or decreased by 0.37 percent from the previous 102.04.
  • In July 2018, nationally 6 provinces experienced an increase in NTP Index, while 27 other provinces experienced a decrease in index. The highest increase was recorded in East Nusa Tenggara Province at 1.10 percent, while the biggest decline was recorded in Banten Province by 2.11 percent.
  • In July 2018, Southeast Sulawesi province recorded a 0.86 percent inflation in rural areas. This was due to an increase in the price index in all household consumption groups, namely foodstuff category rose by 1.52 percent; finished food, beverages, cigarette and tobacco 0.06 percent; housing group 0.07 percent; clothing group by 0.07 percent; health group 0.08 percent; education, recreation and sports groups by 0.54 percent; as well as transport and communications group rose by 1.22 percent.
